Delete your account

From the app

1. Open Mealoop and go to Settings.
2. Scroll to Account and tap Delete my account.
3. Read what will be removed, then confirm twice.

It happens straight away, and it can't be undone. If you have Mealoop Plus, cancel the subscription in your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, because deleting your account doesn't stop Apple billing you.

What's deleted

• Your login: your email address and your Apple or Google sign-in link.
• If nobody else is in your kitchen: everything in it, including recipes, photos, plans, grocery lists, collections and captures.
• If you share a kitchen: you leave it. Its recipes and plans stay with the people still in it, because they're theirs too, and your name stays on meals you cooked.

Copies in our backups are overwritten in the normal course, usually within a few weeks.

If you can't open the app

Email support@mealoop.app from the email address you sign in with, and ask us to delete your account. We'll confirm it's you, delete it, and let you know when it's done, normally within 7 days.

Signed in with Apple using Hide My Email? Write from any address and include your support ID if you have it, and we'll work out which account is yours.
